It may come as a surprise for everyone, including elderly individuals who are in independent living communities in Moreno Valley, California, that they, too, need immunization. Yes, immunization. Whether you are a fan of vaccines or not, you should know why it is essential that elderly individuals get vaccinated.

Here are some of the reasons:

  • First, elderly individuals have weaker immune systems than their younger selves and the younger generation. With vaccination, the elderly can give their immune system an additional boost that protects them from diseases, especially if they intend to make an international living for some time.
  • Secondly, elderly individuals can protect others too, when they get vaccinated. Since elderly individuals are more susceptible to different health concerns and problems, providers of memory care in California see immunized clients under their supervision as kind, heroic, and selfless for doing so.
  • Lastly, elderly individuals who successfully got vaccinated are a testament to the safety of the vaccines currently available. They may not speak and advertise about their own experience in public, but in their ways, they are showing that the vaccine is safe for an individual in their age range.

At One Stop Senior Service, we aim to keep each client under our care healthy and thriving. And we believe, with the guidance of the scientific and medical community, that vaccines help us do so. But we also understand if our clients choose not to be vaccinated. Thus, in our care, we prioritize our elderly client’s health and safety for an optimal, independent life.

Avail of our elder care services in Berkeley, California, and experience comfortable, engaging twilight years.

To be honest, regardless of your age, being able to spend time outside is a terrific approach to improving your quality of life and general health. However, it is equally necessary to emphasize the significance of exercising caution when outdoors, especially for the elderly. Outdoor exercise is a wonderful suggestion for seniors in our independent living communities in Moreno Valley, California, who have little to no mobility concerns. Seniors who are also a part of our memory care in California are highly encouraged to spend some time outdoors, get vitamin D, enjoy the breeze of fresh air, and communicate with other seniors and the care providers around them.

We remind seniors who love spending time outside to always wear good quality sunscreen that is suitable for their skin types. Our international living care providers will be with you wherever you go to ensure that you are safe, healthy, and having fun.

California’s population keeps growing, and so does the number of elders. Being the most populous state, the number of elders in the state will also grow from time to time. Elders will soon lose the ability to be independent and perform other tasks.

At some point, they will need assistance from other people, may it be in-home care, nursing home, or assisted living. Independent living communities in Moreno Valley, California, are an option for our dear elders to receive care and assistance.

However, one thing elders should consider in choosing the appropriate independent living community for them is the services they offer and whether they will benefit from those services for their individual needs. For instance, a certain number of elderlies have memory issues that need care and assistance. To choose wisely, they must look for facilities that provide excellent memory care in California. Those who have disabilities and seek ambulatory assistance must consider facilities that provide ambulatory care to address their needs.

Some elders, on the other hand, seek services that will allow them to fulfill their bucket lists or travel to other destinations. Despite being old, they still want to experience paradise and relax to enjoy their leisure time. Not to worry, some facilities provide international living services and will allow them to fulfill their wishes to travel to different preferred destinations abroad.

Elders deserve care, comfort, assistance, and relaxation as they age. However, they may need facilities that provide assistance and address their needs. In One Stop Senior Service, we provide elder care services in Berkeley, California. Whatever you or your elder loved ones do, we will help address your needs. And not to worry, you can also live independently here in our community!

A May 6, 2022 study published in the online journal Alzheimer’s & Dementia found that diets high in foods associated with inflammation may accelerate brain aging, leading to dementia.

According to Harvard Health, researchers looked at over 2,000 healthy participants from the Framingham Heart Study (average age 62) who filled out meal questionnaires and underwent brain MRIs. Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) scores for the participants were determined using information from the questionnaires that were gathered over a period of ten years.

A higher DII score denotes a pro-inflammatory diet, while a lower DII score suggests a more anti-inflammatory diet. Pro-inflammatory diets frequently contain higher levels of simple carbohydrates, cholesterol, saturated fat, and fried foods.

As a provider of memory care in California, we understand that a healthy diet can lead to better health: physically and mentally. As such, One Stop Senior Service offers quality senior care services that aim to improve our client’s quality of life at home and in the community.

We can help your loved one eat anti-inflammatory diets, such as oily fish, fruits, and vegetables. Beans, nuts and seeds, olives and olive oil, and fiber are also great additions to this diet.

With the assistance of our elder care services in Berkeley, California, we offer a “guilt-free” alternative to taking care of your loved ones. We assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, medications, and more.

Our independent living communities in Moreno Valley, California, will be more than happy to assist you or a loved one in receiving appropriate care that improves health, not declines it.

Get in touch with our international living services today at 961-606-3100.

Some of the roadblocks we would like to mention are:
